Let me tell you a little story! 🎄👹 🎅
Way back in December of 2022 aerin.nicole asked KicKee Staff members if their kids would be interested in drawing some monsters for her to include in a future print. Sofia immediately jumped at the opportunity as she’s always admired Aerin’s designs and spends hours daily on her own drawings and creations. She’s always picked the KicKee prints she wears and feels deeply connected to them so this was a very meaningful project to her, like her first big gig. 😂
Daily for a year and half or so Sofia kept asking me when the monster print was coming out. I kept telling her “these things are always a surprise, Sofia, I don’t even know myself but trust the process. I will be the first to tell you when I see it.” When I finally saw the print for the first time I immediately cried. I ran to show Sofia and her face lit up like a Christmas tree with the biggest smile and shining wide eyes I have ever seen. She cried, giggled for a few minutes and said she couldn’t believe that her dream came true. Her face must have been stuck this way for an hour. I will never forget it! 🥰
